ETC Offices Invaded by Mobile Telephone Service Seekers

Addis Ababa, 09 August 2008 – The Ethiopian Telecommunications Corporation (ETC) began sales of SIM cards, after an interruption of new lines provision for several months. Thousands of Addis Ababa residents are lining up at ETC sales offices to purchase SIM cards. The fast growing demand for mobile telephone services is far from being satisfied by the sole telecom provider.
