have been developed around Microsoft Centric solutions. The unit
is also in the process of setting up a strong Oracle development
team.
- The Education Centre provides a wide range of solutions to suit
the needs of different organizations; a quantum jump is expected
shortly in qualities and levels.
In addition
the Company has established two special units for Card and Security
technologies and communications Systems, which have assumed departmental
status. Overall these changes involved significant growth in head
count and its quality. Accordingly personnel experienced an increase
from 44 in 2001 to 56, which clearly places the Company at rank
number 1, with possibly 2-3 times the number of personnel in any
IT company in Ethiopia.
The Company
is undoubtedly poised to be an international player in ICT and is
presently geared to meet all the requirements. The Customer Support
Services has been reorganized to cater to nine technology areas
and has recruited a quality manager from abroad to raise its quality
standards. A call management and an inventory tracking system are
being installed. By the end of the year the Company aims to be ISO
9002 certified, possibly the first in the country to attain the
status.
In its bid to
qualify as a national and international player the Company will
continue to invest in training of its personnel and certifications
in all areas of its engagements.
