The Concept Of End To End High Availability

Many organizations are undergoing computerization projects to automate various functions. Some business companies and government agencies are also becoming online requiring the delivery of high-end services. To be competitive in today's business environment, companies need to achieve a state of business continuity, where critical business processes, work centers, systems and networks are always available to support their customers. This paper will address the availability issues needed by business units and mission critical system to render a seamless and a high up time service.

End to end high available service will not be delivered out of one vendor or one class of service. There are a number of products vendors and each deal with certain level of availability in their respective areas. Some of the major components this paper will focus on are:
