Addis Ababa Water Sewarage Authority to Decentralize its Billing
System
The
Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority is planning to decentralize
its water billing system at branch level in order to ensure timely
collection of dues from its clientele.
It
was also learnt that the Authority currently uses a billing software
– X7 using ORACLE RDBS – supplied and implemented by
a French Company, Infeo for a central processing and printing function
located at its Head Office. The Authority is seeking an ICT company
to decentralize the bill processing and printing tasks.
There
is no doubt that the implementation of a decentralized billing system
would avoid excessive delays in monthly cash collections and contribute
to the financial strength of the Authority to accomplish planned
activities within the fiscal year.
